THE PLAYERS

MICHAEL ROBINSON

NFL VETERAN & SPORTS BROADCASTER

Michael Robinson is a native of Henrico, VA and graduate of Varina High School and Penn State University. During his time at Varina High School, Robinson was a four-year starter at quarterback. In February of 2014, Robinson became a Super Bowl Champion when the Seahawks defeated the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.

In 2010, Michael Robinson started the Excel to Excellence Foundation. The mission statement for the foundation is: Excel to Excellence will create and deliver innovative programs to ensure that underserved children have the proper educational opportunities, resources, and life experiences necessary to achieve their dreams and become productive citizens.

RUSSELL WILSON

QUARTERBACK, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Richmond native, Wilson attended Collegiate School, where he played football and baseball. Wilson earned all-state, all-region and all-district honors, in addition to being named the 2005 Richmond Times-Dispatch Player of the Year, as a junior.

Russell Wilson started The Power of Mind Foundation that supports youth activities for communities in need. The Power of Mind works in partnership with professional athletes, businesses and other generous individuals to raise and distribute resources in order to enrich opportunities for deserving youth. The Power of Mind believes that every child deserves to have the opportunity to pursue his or her dreams.

MARSHAWN LYNCH

RUNNING BACK, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Marshawn Lynch is originally from Oakland, California. In high school, Lynch was a three-sport athlete, participating in football, basketball and track at Oakland Technical High School. In 2004, Lynch began attending the University of California, Berkeley, where he played football and majored in social welfare.

In 2006, Marshawn Lynch and his cousin Joshua Johnson founded Fam 1st Family Foundation, a foundation dedicated to improving the lives of children by mentoring them in the importance of education, literacy, and self-esteem. The foundation’s mission is one of empowerment and education, aiming to build self-esteem and academic learning skills in underprivileged youth.
